List of new 2013 High Grade Build Fighter Gunpla 1/144 HGBF (Part 2)

The new 2013 Gundam Build Fighters series is an unusual Gundam series. In this series, the whole Gundam universe is a Gunpla (Gundam Plastic) model. Nevertheless, this concept already put into anime in Model Suit Gunpla Builder G Beginning. As the result, Gundam Build Fighters remake many of classic Gunpla designs, and on this Part 2, I'll posted other Bandai HGBF (and other timeline) releases in connection to Build Fighter series.

The whole Gundam Build Fighter series can be viewed free on their Youtube Channel, translated into English, Korean and Mandarin language! I divide this post into two parts. The main HGBF line up, consisted of Build Strike, X Maoh, Zaku Amazing (later Kampfer Amazing), Wing Fenice and others have been posted on PART 1. -  PART 3 (January 2014)

The second protagonist gunpla in the Build Fighter series (the first one is Build Strike). It is a classic mecha from Zeta series. Most of Zeta fans will be pleased to see Mk-II appeared as yet another protagonist in the series, although I personally think Sunrise should used more un-ortodhox mecha, maybe Sinanju... well, no.

PPMS-18E Kämpfer Amazing
1/144 HGBF character : Tatsuya Yuuki alias Meijin Kawaguchi

This is Tatsuya's second Gunpla after his Zaku Amazing. After mysteriously withdrawn from local competition in the round where he supposed to face Sei, Tatsuya revealed to have been hired to work in mysterious PPSE company. Kampfer is PPSE representative in the World Tournament. Kampfer is highly bad-ass looking mecha and this re-design is just good.  It is from MS Gundam 0080 : War in the Pocket movie.  Meanwhile see my other Kampfer photos here.

Another highly popular Gunpla model, Astray. The samurai Gundam got his slot in Build Fighter series in Sengoku Astray form. Interestingly the model is owned by western guy, Nils Nielsen. The model also got a package of weaponry in 1/144 Matsury Weapon.

This odd Teddy bear looking gunpla is owned by the female protagonist China Kousaka. It was actually not new design, it was from Gundam G-Builder Beginning G series. If you want to impress your female counterpart with gunpla, Beargguy III is your extreme gift to her.

NMX-004 Qubeley Papillon
1/144 HGBF character : Aila Jyrkiainen

Very intrigue gunpla design. This is taken from Zeta Gundam series. The color itself did not convincing for me, so it's quite the shame that this killer looking mecha get a weirdo color scheme. The character who play this model is a girl Aila Jyrkiainen, in the series she defeated the previous world champion, meaning she is extremely hot shot. As the series grow, Aila has clearly secured the place of most favorite female character of the show.

This crimson red looking gunpla is actually belonged to cute idol Kirara. The design reminiscence alot to Sinanju or Sazabi.  In episode 4 Build Fighter, Kirara manages to knock off Sei in the combat scene. Gerbera Tetra was from 0083: Stardust Memory.

1/144 HGBF - on sale February 2014

Sniper is gunpla belong to Renato Brothers of Argentina. They secured place in final 16 and even defeated one of fans favorite to advance to final 8. Sniper K9 comes with bloodhound support unit.

Apsalus III, Apsalus is not a 'human' form gunpla, but rather a fortress tank. Owned by age 40 gunpla fighter, pretty odd. His name is Tatsuzo. According to mr Ral, Tatsuzo was a strong fighter in the past. He must experienced something bad that turned him into bad property-shark guy.

OZ-00MSVa Tallgeese Valkyrie - character : Greco Logan, second strongest contestant in US, defeated by Nils Nielsen.

Knight Gundam - character : Caroline Yajima, build by Nils Nielsen. A minor side story put this Super Deformed (SD) model into the series.

Abigorbine - character : Luang Dallara, contestant from Thailand.

EZ8 Gundam - Mainly appeared on OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team 

piloted by the series' main protagonist Shiro Amada. Design are boxy and looks mechanical, simply a classic '80 era feel.

there is also another variation distinguished with double cannon. I like the bulky body design, looks very badass!

G Gundam or God Gundam from Mobile Fighter G Gundam. One of my favorite mecha from lesser known series. Pilot by Domon Kasshu of Neo Japan.

Nu Gundam or RX-93 v Gundam is another mecha pilot by Amuro Ray from the Char's Counterattack. One of most popular design from Universal Century, mainly for it's Psycoframe technology. Nu Gundam vs Sazabi is one of my most favorite rivalry.

Turn A Gundam or ∀ Gundam SYSTEM ∀-99 ∀ Gundam piloted primarily by Rolan Cehack. From rarely popular Turn A Gundam series in Correct Century timeline. Perhaps the most memorable mecha for it's 'mustache'....

X Gundam. This model from After War series gonna get a boost in popularity by now. Gundam Build Fighter will based on of their prime mecha using X Gundam as base model.

MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam series. In anime this was deisgned and piloted by Kamille Bidan. Another classic titular gundam from Universal Century timeline.

Gundam on the Water

Having another session with this simple concept. Found a nice wooden 'bridges' and compounds of water. Giving some touches with leaves then we go exploring for ideas. One spontaneous idea is this 'triangle-romantic' theme of Gundam. Later I decide to just focusing on lower parts. Can you guess the Gunplas in pose?

Gundam Build Fighters 2013 Preview

From the official website http://gundam-bf.net we then know that the next 2013 Gundam franchise will be presented in rather different concept than usual! Gundam Build Fighter was announced weeks ago and it will be a movie more a concept about toy fighting rather than another war epic. Keep the finger cross since we still have little hints on what's going on. Some of Gundam network reported that it will be a story about Gunpla builders to compete in the World Championship. So this is also mean Bandai put the Gundam world into one crossover movie, all models from Build Fighter will be taken from previous series. So far about four models being featured in detail on Bandai site. They are:

Build Strike Gundam - from Gundam SEED 

Zaku Amazing - from Gundam MSV (Mobile Suit Variation )

Gundam X Maoh - from Gundam X 

Wing Gundam Fenice - from Wing Gundam - new model?

Bandai also showcase a full lineup of Gundam HG All Project for its Gunpla incarnation. So far, here the rework of official Bandai artwork for Gundam Build Fighters 2013.

Gundam MSN-06S Sinanju 1-144 HGUC

One of great Gundam design is MSN-06S Sinanju. Appeared in Gundam Suit Unicorn, Sinanju Stein was produced by Earth Federation's "UC Project". Operated by Neo Zeon and piloted by the mysterious Full Frontal.

A short review for Sinanju 1/144
The model itself, a 1/144 HG, comes in great incarnation from the anime. The most striking features are the details in stickers. If you are not keen in putting smaller than nails sticker, Sinanju maybe not your luck. Almost 90% of the black colors comes as sticker, so take your time to patiently work on it. His transparent yellow shape blade is also a great extras.
